As I am sure you are aware, or could deduce from the patients that you see each day, according to the American Heart Association, more than one-third of American adults and 17% of children and adolescents suffer from obesity. As you also know, obesity can lead to high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol levels, type 2 diabetes mellitus, heart disease, and in many cases cancer. My greatest desire is to see the incidence of obesity related comorbidities decrease. I want to see our nation’s people have a better quality of life and enjoy themselves and their families with nothing holding them back.

Strength and Dignity Dietetics is all about bettering the health of our clients. I want to help your patients obtain a healthier state by putting them on a diet plan that will teach them how to eat healthier, lose weight, and maintain the healthy weight that they achieve. By them overcoming this struggle, we will hopefully see a drop in their blood pressure, a decrease in their LDL and triglyceride levels, an increase in their HDL levels, and an increase in their insulin sensitivity, hopefully allowing them to come off many of their medications. I want to help you give the best possible care to your patients. I also want to take part in the prevention of diseases for your patients by taking hold of your overweight patients to educate them and help them create healthy habits so they will not suffer from the comorbidities that obesity can cause in their lives.

Our services include weight loss packages that will give your patients a comprehensive breakdown of every meal that they will eat, all of which are based on real, healthy foods that they can find at their local grocery store. These packages also include grocery lists for the week, weekly consultations, and daily accountability, education, and encouragement that will keep the clients on track and motivated in their diet process. We also offer individual counseling for families who want to be healthier. This will include education on meal planning, grocery shopping, healthy cooking, and will give them healthy recipes and snack ideas based on their family’s food preferences. Lastly, we offer the individual educational counseling on disease states which include type 1 diabetes mellitus, type 2 diabetes mellitus, celiac disease, and cardiovascular disease. During these sessions, the clients will be given information about their disease state, be told which foods should be eaten and which foods should be avoided, and be shown in detail how to eat in order to prevent complications due to their disease state. Ultimately, the goal is that they will leave with more knowledge and confidence to be able to live a normal life despite the diagnosis of their disease.
